Our Mission
Each year, Oklahoma’s Electric Cooperatives and employees organize, sponsor and volunteer in several youth-oriented events.  This involvement is part of what makes electric cooperatives strong communities in Oklahoma.
Special Olympics Energy Camp Youth Tour 
More than 140 volunteers from electric cooperatives across Oklahoma participate each year in the Oklahoma Special Olympics Summer State Games in Stillwater, Okla.  For more than 27 years co-op employees, directors, managers and retirees have volunteered with Special Olympics, typically making up one of the largest volunteer groups at the games. Read more… YouthPower Energy Camp is designed to help develop leadership skills, have summertime fun, and at the same time learn about one of rural America’s most important industries – rural electrification. Read more… The Oklahoma Rural Electric Youth Tour is an annual, weeklong, all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. that is open to select high school juniors (seniors-to-be) who attend schools located in co-op service areas.
