OAEC Communications

OAEC Media Relations

The OAEC Public Relations and Communications department periodically provides informative press releases and media notifications to state and federal agencies such as the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC), the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM), the Oklahoma Department of Homeland Security (ODHS), and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). These notifications and press releases are sent out primarily during or following natural disasters or severe storm events that cause wide-scale electrical outages or extended outage situations to any of OAEC’s 30 electric cooperative member-systems.

Oklahoma Living Magazine
OAEC’s Public Relations and Communications department is charged with producing the association’s monthly publication, Oklahoma Living magazine. Now the state’s largest subscription-based monthly magazine, Oklahoma Living goes into more than 336,000 homes and businesses each month.
